Lighting Controls Sales Representative

SCI Lighting Solutions is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lighting Controls Sales Representative to drive the growth and development of our lighting controls division in the San Diego market. This role involves working with key accounts including electrical contractors, distributors, and specifiers, as well as providing technical expertise and support to SCI’s sales team. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales through specifying engineers, electrical contractors, and distributorsin commercial, industrial, education, and healthcare sectors.
  • Ensure lighting controls designs comply with California Title 24 and regional lighting standards.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematic electrical drawings.
  • Use Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Revit to produce project-specific drawings for clients.
  • Analyze project pricing and manage startup and commissioning processes.
  • Coordinate with specifiers, manufacturers, and SCI teams for high-quality project execution.
  • Maintain organized documentation and communicate effectively with all parties.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience; sales experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, architecture, business, or similar field, is a plus.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, AGI, and Familiarity with various lighting controls systems.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of lighting controls systems, technical standards, and California Title 24.
  • Ability to adjust work pace to meet evolving client needs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, presentation, and time management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $55,000-$95,000 annually, based on experience.
